E-Commerce and social media marketing for the Chinese market

The digital landscape in China is growing fast and changing rapidly; but most importantly, operates in a significantly different manner from the rest of the world. Navigating Chinese e-commerce and social media marketing is a challenging task, but can be extremely rewarding if managed properly.
The masterclass is facilitated by Chinese digital marketing expert Dr Mingming Cheng, drawing on his insights from research, consultancy, real life industry and best practices. The one day workshop will have two sessions:
Morning Session: The first half of the masterclass provides you with a deep understanding of China’s e-commerce landscape, including leading E-commerce platforms in China (Tmall Global, JD, YiHaoDian) and WeChat Commerce. You will examine case studies and best practices as part of this session.
Afternoon session: The second half of the masterclass is designed to help you to broaden your understanding of the social media marketing landscape in China. At the end of this session, you will gain the knowledge that will help you navigate the social media landscape in China, plan and design your social media strategies to Chinese consumers. Cases and best practices for the industry will be provided.

Graduates of the Masterclass series who are interested in furthering their studies are eligible for Credit for Recognised Learning into either the Master of Business Administration (MBA) or the Masters of Marketing for the equivalent of 1 unit (25 credits). Please note all applicants must meet admission criteria for the MBA and Master of Marketing.
