Curtin Link is an innovative service connecting students from Curtin Business School and Curtin Law School with the community. Through Curtin Link not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, small businesses and start-ups can receive integrated advisory services and project support on a range of business, legal and taxation issues.
Curtin Link builds on the successful activities of the John Curtin Law Clinic and Curtin Tax Clinic, which have enabled our students to assist small businesses and taxpayers resolve legal disputes and taxation matters. With guidance and mentoring from qualified and experienced supervisors, Curtin Link enables postgraduate and final year undergraduate students to undertake real world projects and offer advice services and project solutions to business and community partners.
Community and business partners and clients gain access to the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm of Curtin students, while also helping to develop the next generation of professional leaders by providing our students with meaningful, real world experience.
Curtin Link is based at the Curtin Graduate School of Business at 78 Murray Street in the Perth CBD.
Examples of advice and project support available through Curtin Link include:

Curtin Link works with not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, small businesses and start-ups located in the Perth metropolitan area. Organisations located in regional Western Australia may be eligible depending on access to technology and other factors.
Curtin Link does not charge fees. Please note that you will be responsible for any out of pocket expenses connected with your matter or project.
The Faculty of Business and Law offers the following courses:
- Bachelor of Commerce (variety of business specialisations)
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- Bachelor of Laws
- A suite of postgraduate programs in a variety of business specialisations
- Higher degree by research at the Master’s and Doctoral level
Students may receive academic credit for their project work. All projects are overseen by an academic supervisor.
Each matter and project is reviewed according to the following criteria: eligibility, identified need, relevance to the academic program, achievable in terms of objectives and timeframe, required resources, and expected learning outcomes for students.
All enrolled students of Curtin University are covered under Curtin University insurance. You may be required to complete a Project or Fieldwork Agreement.
We recommend allocating two hours per week to supporting your Curtin Link matter or project.
