Mr Peter Williams

Peter is the General Manager of Brand for RAC and has more than 15 years experience in strategic marketing positions among some of Australia’s most high profile brands including RAC, Suncorp & Panasonic.

At RAC Peter is responsible for leading the RAC brand strategy across the organisation reporting to the Executive team. This includes brand governance and strategic direction of brand communications, content and creative services.

Peter has a proven track record in brand building, starting his career in brand communications and advertising before progressing into product management and other senior management roles responsible for brand strategy and innovation.

In addition to marketing, Peter’s career has included delivery of strategic innovation projects involving international partnerships, new product development and working with start-ups to develop disruptive new business models.

Peter’s strength is his critical thinking ability applied to brand strategy to create competitive advantage. What he loves most about marketing is the mix of strategic and creative thinking and the challenge of connecting brands with consumers in a meaningful way.
