Mr Alan Langford
Alan’s major function of the role as Chief Economist with Bankwest is to advise the Bank on the strategic and operational implications of economic and financial market trends.
Current responsibilities include preparation and editing of the Weekly Economic and Financial Market Snapshot; and irregular but frequent Economic Updates as and when key data are published.
He has been with Bankwest since March 1989 as an Economic Research Office and was appointed Economist in September 1990.
Prior to joining BankWest Alan held the position of Economic Research Officer at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia.
Alan has a Bachelor of Business Degree, majoring in Financial Management and Economics from Curtin University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia (Finsia).
He is a Professional Member, Western Australian branch of the Economic Society of Australia (PMESA); and a Senior Fellow, Financial Services Institute of Australia (SF Fin).
