The School of Accounting at Curtin Business School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the accounting study area, as well as an undergraduate program in accounting technologies.  These programs are designed to provide our graduates with qualifications that are industry-relevant and in demand.

Accounting graduates apply a range of skills and expertise to form the pivotal management of many organisations. A degree in accounting can prepare you for a dynamic financial career, both in Australia and overseas. Professionally recognised by Australian industry bodies, our degrees are also recognised internationally, so you can take your qualification with you almost anywhere in the world.

With the continuing evolution of accounting education, we’re placing ever greater emphasis on helping students to develop transferable business skills, through presentations, teamwork, and communication. This gives you the opportunity to better equip yourself for the exciting and diverse possibilities within today’s accounting profession.

Industry connections

Through our strong connections with leading industry bodies and other relevant organisations, a number of our courses involve a professional placement or internship component. You’ll undertake projects for real clients and gain the opportunity to engage with industry while you’re still studying, meaning you’ll be ready to hit the ground running upon graduation.

The school’s links with industry are further strengthened by a number of business leaders in the field who comprise our advisory board. The board helps to keep us informed of the latest advancements in government and industry, and we regularly revise and update our courses to reflect these developments.

Professional recognition

Our industry-connected approach to learning also means you’ll be eligible to apply for entrance to relevant professional industry bodies upon graduation.
